Another working weekend

The weekend immmediately following our trip to Prince Edward island to do a workshop for the MSVU cohort there saw us in Mississauga, on the western outskirts of Toronto, doing another Saturday workshop for a different cohort. We drove down in Michele's Mustang and sampled another Delta Hotel. The workshop was BIG -- almost 60 people. It was on the theme of boys, literacy and curriculum. Jerry Harste had flown up from Indiana and we were thrilled to get a chance to spend a day with him. Andy had come across from Halifax to do recruiting for next year's cohort. The program has been running 15 years. With luck we'll be able to work some more with Jerry in Mississauga, as well as keep up our involvement with the cohorts in the Maritimes. The students are always so very keen and on the ball. It is not easy work, but it is thoroughly enjoyable work that is always rewarding.
